Fitness and Yoga Retreats
Part of what makes Rayos so special is our focus on health and fitness. We have created a number of fitness facilities on our property that include an outdoor gym, Pilates studio, 2 yoga decks and an obstacle course built right into the jungle.
We welcome all fitness, yoga and health instructors to host their own all-inclusive group retreats with consciously curated meal plans that compliment your programming and carefully consider any dietary restrictions.

The Food
Your stay at Rayos Del Sol includes three meals a day, prepared fresh by our chef, Javi. We source as much organic produce as we can for our kitchen, and most of our herbs are grown onsite in our gardens. Chickens and eggs come from local farms just up the street, and the Pacific provides us with a bounty of fresh fish and shellfish caught by local fishermen. Our panadero, Yudran, bakes amazing fresh bread in our brick oven using only the four essential ingredients - water, flour, yeast, and salt. Always a crowd favorite, taco night features Lidieth's hand-made corn tortillas and wood-fired and hand-pulled chicken.
Our own private wells provide us with fresh, clean, and safe drinking water straight from the tap. Hot Costa Rican coffee and teas are complementary, while fresh fruit smoothies and power shakes fortified with super foods, nuts and more are available for purchase. During bar hours, beer, wine, and cocktails prepared with fresh ingredients are also for sale. We recommend you try the piña colada or a hurricane while sunning poolside.
Fun Fact: Our little finca can't sustain large groups, but our groups help sustain our finca. All of your leftover fruit, veggies, eggshells, nuts and grains provide our ducks and chickens with a healthy vegetarian diet.
The property is located away from the hustle & bustle of the tourist areas in a remote jungle location. The best way I can describe it is a “rustic resort” - the cabins have AC, but no TVs or wifi. The central gathering area has a full bar, wifi, and gorgeous views of the jungle, but it’s nothing like a typical hotel bar. Meals were absolutely delicious and the chef did an amazing job accommodating special dietary needs within our group.
I went to Rayos Del Sol as part of a 30-person business retreat. Niki, Erik, and staff were a pleasure and we all had a fantastic time. It’s remote enough to really enjoy the seclusion, but close enough to the beach and to town that you’re not in the middle of nowhere... [We] got plenty of enjoyment from the fresh-baked bread, sunsets in the pool, and Erik’s fine mixed drinks. I expect that we’ll be back.
